Land Stewardship Projects
Join ELK volunteers for a hands-on service project at a local park, creek, or school near you! Volunteers will have the opportunity to make a real impact on parks, neighborhoods, and the environment through activities like litter cleanups, tree planting, invasive species removal, seed collection, and trail maintenance.
Community Service Projects
Join ELK volunteers for a community service project that makes a difference! Volunteers are invited to give back through meaningful activities such as community art projects, flowerbed planting, food drives, back-to-school drives, and more. Help us strengthen the communities that need it most.
Educational and Training Opportunities
Do you have a special skill you’d like to share with our youth, families, or community? We’re looking for volunteers to lead, organize, or participate in hands-on educational opportunities such as résumé workshops, leadership trainings, mock interviews, financial literacy sessions, sewing or gardening classes, woodworking, and more! Together, we can inspire personal and professional growth for everyone involved.
Outreach Opportunities
Do you enjoy connecting with people and sharing opportunities with the community? We’re looking for volunteers to support ELK’s outreach efforts by helping at community events, career fairs, and school presentations. Volunteers can engage families, youth, and partners by sharing information about ELK programs, answering questions, and representing our mission to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.
ELK Education Center/Montbello Open Space Park Projects
Do you love working outdoors or getting hands-on with community projects? We’re looking for volunteers to support ongoing projects at the ELK Education Center and Montbello Open Space Park! Opportunities include habitat restoration, gardening, trail maintenance, invasive species removal, litter cleanups, and helping care for our outdoor learning spaces. Your time and energy will help keep these spaces thriving for youth, families, and the community to enjoy.
