“It’s an organization that raises wildlife awareness in kids/students. It’s lots of fun and they are helpful with helping us get ready for college. It’s AMAZING.”

Youth in Natural Resources

Youth in Natural Resources (YNR) encourages youth, ages 14-25, to explore career options, gain work experience in the natural resource and science fields, and continue their education after high school. This support includes:

  • Specially designed college campus visits
  • Securing summer employment (ages 16-25)
  • One-on-one mentoring through the college application and financial aid process

Through the program, youth gain work skills and experience. They see first-hand the rigor of college studies, but they also see that with the right habits, they can succeed. Their leadership experience, coupled with the mentorship of ELK staff, enables youth to pursue higher education and scholarships with confidence and motivation.
